缠枝莲又名“万寿藤”，是中国传统吉祥纹样，莲花则是圣洁的象征，因而缠枝莲花图案广受欢迎，它是人寿年丰的预兆，人们称纺织有这种图案的卡垫为江垫式。此毯手工编织，植物染色，其图案浅色勾边，采用冷暖对比和两晕色技法，纹饰雅丽多彩，亦不失庄重威严。

       The pattern of interlock branch lotus is also called that of longevity vine, an auspicious pattern in Chinese tradition. Lotus is the symbol of sanctity and the patterns of interlock branch lotus are well-received as they are the omens of longevity and good harvests. The blanket of this pattern is said to be that of the Jiangdian style.
